I have a Robert Shaw 9620 7 day Programmable digital thermostat 2 heat/2 cool . We have a Goodman heat pump I want to know how to hook up this thermostat to my 7wires coming in, the 7 wires are as follows yellow blue red green white brown orange. I need to know where all these wires go to in the back of the robert shaw and if there is a jumper wire required and where they go to on the jumper one if it is needed.
Thanks a bunch

What was the old tstat, and what was wired to its terminal labels? Do you still have it as reference? Also, what do you know about your systems: single stage or two stage HP, electric strip heat as aux or furnace?

I have a Robert Shaw in there now it is 8425-1. This tstat is still hooked up but need to replace it with the Robert Shaw 96-20. It is a stage 2 heat Pump. It is electric strip heat. Thanks so much for the help really appreciate it. Oh, I don't have any of the old info on the 8425-1 Robert Shaw
Thanks
Wilb

This (http://www.icca.invensys.com/manuals/robertshaw/110-732e.pdf) looks like your new tstat, and this (http://www.icca.invensys.com/manuals/Robertshaw/110-1090_8425.pdf) looks like your old tstat.

What color wires are labeled to which terminals on the old tstat?

The Brown wire is not attached, the white wire goes to the w2e, the Green goes to the G, the orange wire goes to the O terminal, the yellow wire goes to the Y1 terminal, the blue wire goes to the C terminal, the Red wire goes to the R terminal and there is a jumper wire from the Y 1 to W 1.
Thanks again

I think I understand what you have but I am a little confused. You say you have a two stage heat pump, but don't have a connection at Y2. What model heat pump do you have?

And what color is attached to Y2? Could you run down colors and terminal label mappings again?
