Any changes that either happened or that you perhaps made to your computer around the time that the problem started; particularly any software or hardware that you installed or setup.

If correct, the only thing you see when you turn on the computer is "No Signal"?

Just because you see no signal on your monitor, this does not mean your video card is working, this means the computer is not getting a signal from the computer

If you are getting No Signal on your monitor, it could be that your video card or the connector that connects the monitor to the video card have gone bad

*Make sure the connection is firm between the monitor cable and the video card

*If you have access to another "working" video card, try and replace the one you are using now with the 'known' working video card

*If you have access to another "working" monitor, hook that up to see if there is a difference

This is the only way to try and troubleshoot this, we need to find out whether it is the video card or the monitor.

It is 1 of the 2

You have to try what was mentioned above to see if it is either the monitor or the video card

Things below are to help figure out which of the 2 is the problem

*Make sure the connection is firm between the monitor cable and the video card

*If you have access to another "working" video card, try and replace the one you are using now with the 'known' working video card

*If you have access to another "working" monitor, hook that up to see if there is a difference

Do you know if it is a video card you can take out or it is integrated with the motherboard and cannot be physically removed?

What you can try is a repair installation
Repair Installation
A Repair Install will replace the system files with the files on the XP CD used for the Repair Install. It will leave your applications and settings intact, but Windows updates will need to be reapplied.

Perform a Repair Installation (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/doug92.mspx)
