I have a Lennox Heating & Colling furnace which needs a new blower motor. Is it difficult to install and are there any specifics I need to be aware? I know I should turn off the power and circuit to the furnace, screw the new motor in, match the color coded wires. Is there anything I should do or is it more to this job?

Get a new capacitor of the size spec for the new motor. DO NOT use the old one.

Make sure to write down the correct rotation of the old motor.

Make sure clean the blower wheel and mount in the same direction on the replacement motor.

One thing hvac1000 left out is to check the temperature rise after you install the new motor.

Yep checking the temperature rise is a good idea. Hope the guy has thermometers.

Don't be surprised if the colors of the wires going to this motor are different than to the motor that you take out. Also do not connect the brown wires, if it has brown wires, to the old capacitor at all.

Bottom of this link. Check for attached wiring diagram for motors.
