Ok so I am involved with CPS, have been since December of 05 when someone called a bogus report on me. So in November of 07 my kids were taken from me based on a statement reported on me by someone, either cps or the police. I was on the phone with cps asking them to help me find my kids fathers because I was sick with the flu and didn't want the kids to get sick as well. They told me the only way the would help me was if I admitted myself into Ellis mental health. I said no way cause who would take care of my kids while I was in there? After hanging up the phone with cps, the police were at my door telling me they got a phone call from cps stating that I threatened to slam my daughter's head against a wall. I denied it and afterwards cps came and took my kids and had the police escort me to Ellis mental health or I was going to get arrested. Afterwards I had asked the police and cps who was it that said I had supposedly said this and both blamed it on the other. While in court I asked for a lie detector test to prove my innocence and was denied that as well. I also asked where the tape was that was supposedly recording me stating this and they did not produce it. It has been almost a year now that I have been fighting them to get my kids back. Now here is my question... was it legal for them to do what they did? And was it legal for them to deny me a chance to prove my innocence? Please write back with some help...

Have you looked into legal help?

Or neighborhood legal aid?

Something in this story isn't adding up, somewhere there had to be legal grounds to remove the kids,or they couldn't have done it in the first place.

If you are mentally stable, diagnosed by Ellis(whom ever they might be,I take it to be a state facility?)and crossed all the I's and dotted all the T'S required by the police and cps(Child protection services?)you would have a resolution already.Since you don't have this resolved yet, what else are they asking of you?

Write back soon,
