My 2 year old grandson has been diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome but there doesn't seem to be a lot of knowledge on the subject. Even the main library in our city only has one book on it. There is so much controversial information on the internet, we don't know what to trust. His charateristics are similar to autisum. My daughter has him in a school for special needs children in which he has changed a great deal just by being around other children but now, due to the economy, his school is being closed down along with five other special needs schools in the area. He goes to several types of therapies but these are also done in his school. All of the other schools are full.
There is much more detail about our situation but my question is, can you help us find more information on Fragile X and where do you suggest that we turn about fighting to keep these schools open? We are in the process of contacting our Senator but the school closes January 1, 2009.

Thank you,
Musa Adams
