I get crusty stufff behind my ears and sometimes it gets raw and hurts ,only behind my right ear .do you have any idea what causes this?

This is very similar to cradle cap on a baby's scalp. When it occurs in an older person, it just means not enough attention is being paid to cleanilness in the area behind the ear. Start washing behind your ears better.
