I would take it... good idea to me. If I was in a relationship I wouldn't have a problem with this.

Men LOVE special attention... so anything you do that's out of the ordinary, (especially since your in a long distance relationship) will have a good outcome... making yourself vulnerable with a "cheesy date" is why he'll love it... because your not afraid to be yourself and show him how much you care...

Hope that helps :)

I agree with someone who already posted guys love anything out of the ordinary attentionwise. You could have just surprised him with the dinner and he would be thrilled I say go for it.

They love it, although sometimes won't admit it. Want some more idea's? Put out a picnic blanket on the living room floor, and have the candles surrounding you on the coffee table etc. either eat the meal there, or have champagne and dessert there, warm a bottle of scented massage oil, leave sexy short notes in places he will go when he comes home (bathroom, bedroom, garage or even on the front door when he gets there etc) , have the petals in the bubble bath... the rose on the pillow, and some sexy lingerie hanging on the bathroom or bedroom door knob with a note, make a CD of not only your song, but other songs that you both like, ask him to dance, have something you call a "surprise box" and put things in there like feathers, the massage oil, whatever you can think of, and number them, and tell him to pic a # between one and..? Tell him he has to lay face down, and guess what it is.

So many idea's... so little time... LOL! But hey, it worked for me! ;) Have fun! :)

If things don't work out between you two than give me a call!! ;)

I found myself trying to do stuff like this in my last relationship... I would have been ecstatic if my ex came even remotely close to doing something like this for me.

He's a lucky guy... and I'm sure he'll dig it.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll let you know how it works. You didn't say what to do with the cheese!

Oh I will Starby, I love the OP's idea- I don't know any man that doesn't love attention from his lady

Depends on the man. Some will love it, others find it pretty strange... I would see it as overkill, LOL... but would be appreciative of the effort.

I think it sounds great! The only thing I would say is maybe not so many flowers... that is definitely more of a girlie thing... but one of my friends covered her boyfriends car with flowers one time and he loved it. It is always fun for a guy or a girl to come home to a surprise like this cause it shows how much you were thinking abou them while they were gone... especially when you incorporate things that they like. Hope it turns out great!

I like peanut butter cups! In fact I dug them out of my Halloween candy before I handed the rest out. Them kids weren't getting my PB cups. I'll put them out, just follow the trail. LOL! That was shameless wasn't it? LOL! ;) :D (okay, I'll stop now, we're off topic, lol)

I don't think it matters if you are a guy or a girl really. Everyone likes to get pampered, and wants that special attention. It's maybe not something the guys would want to tell all of their buddies while watching football on the wkd. but they love it. You know you guys do! Don't try and tell me you don't! ;)

It ain't cheesy... it is awesome. If a girl did that for me I would be extremely grateful. Chivalry is just dead to some people (and yes, chivalry can go both ways)

It is a little cheesy. You should use that advertisement on myspace.com! Many people get hooked into scams on myspace.

Er, I thought I'd begin with a light clarification: for those of you who were wondering what the above post was about, it looks like another newbie thought the advertisement, "Why Is Your Stomach Fat?" was the actual question. Whoops. Every now and then a new member will get a little lost in the AMHD woods. It's easy enough, I suppose, especially if one isn't terribly familiar with the site. Still, it gives me the giggles every time... :D

Niptuck, what's really going to shine is the gesture of doing something so sweet and so thoughtful for your guy. Plus, the fact that most of these gestures will be done *naked* should pretty much guarantee success for you. :) I love the ideas.

As a side note, I think the difference between cheesy and not at all cheesy is often all in the style in which you do it. Having a natural attitude about each step might the best way to go, let's say, even in something as simple as opening a bottle of champagne.

You're going to be winning some big, gold stars in this guy's book, let me tell you... just have fun and enjoy it!
