I have a 4 year old Panasonic TV model #TH42PD25. I loss bouth picture and sound intermitently. Bouth picture and sound return some times in secents and some times in minetes.

What happens when you lose picture and sound? Blue screen? Blank screen? Any sound at all (like static)?

If it goes completely blank with no sound whatsoever, I'd say you probably have an electronic problem that will require a service call. On the other hand, if it has some static sound and/or a blue screen, I'd suspect the signal (cable, etc.) connection. You can check all the connectors for free.
