My last period was March 25th, although I have never had a traditional 28 day cycle, my doctor still decided that my due date is Dec. 29th. I just had an ultrasound (at 32 weeks) per my doctor because I am measuring large for my dates.
According to the ultrasound the baby's head was measuring 35 weeks/4 days (due date Dec 8th)and her femur/abdominal measurements were at 34 weeks/3 days (due date Dec 13th) and the baby's weight is about 5 lbs 7 oz.
I have an appointment with my doctor next week, but I am curious for other opinions. Is this type of date discrepency normal? There is almost a 3 week difference in some of the dates. If I am only 32 weeks and my baby has the head size of a 35 week baby, is that serious? How accuracte is the ultrasound in determining weight?

Any input would be great1 Thanks!

I had the same thing throughout my pregnancy. I would measure big, they would send me for an ultrasound where the baby would measure about 3 weeks larger than what my due date was. It turned out I just had a big baby, 9lbs 5oz. The doctors base a due date on when you tell them your last period was, it is an educated guess. An ultrasound is not all that accurate, you could just have a big baby like I did.
