I am curious about converting a Heil gas pack to Electric for the heat. The gas bills are killing me in the winter time and this gas pack is the only thing that is gas in the house. Check that,
I have a gas log fireplace.
Is this, or could it be more cost effective? Is there a conversion kit? I'm spending approx 350.00 a month to run the heat in the winter months. I am in North Carolina and not sure about building code and if the electric heat would even be legal. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

You cannot convert your unit to electric but you can buy an electric unit to replace the gas unit you have.

Thr units are listed and labeled by UL or CSA when manufactured. And any changes of the maginitude would be a violation of there listing etc. and make them dangerous to operate.
