I received a journal entry from the clerk of courts stating the summary judgement in the credit card suit against me was granted in favor of Asset Acceptance Corp.I owe 4,616.58 + 1,866.87 interest and court costs. Do I, still have to go to court for trial date in Feb. 2009? And if not what will happen to me now ?

Do you owe the money or are you just trying to avoid payment? If you owe the money and you are not going to argue your case than you can settle out of court with credit card atty. If you still want to argue your case you need to go to trial.
I had also received a trial date and notice that judgement would be filed in favor of the credit card. I did not deny owning the money so I contacted the atty for the credit card and made payment arrangements. We settled out of court and I was able to avoid a judgement on my credit. We used a "Stipulated Order for Conditional Dismissal" which is filed with the courts. It states that I do owe the money and I will make payments by a certain date every month. If I miss a payment or am late, a judgment will be filed against me.
