Is it or is it not a federal law that someone can be fired for being gay?

You'll have to prove that's why you were fired before you can do anything. Companies these days are very careful because they don't want to deal with the legal consequences if they do something of that nature.

I haven't been fired we were wondering at work if it is a federal law. I say it is not a co worker said it is.

I don't believe it's a federal law but I could be wrong. It's not something that a lot of companies would really care about enough to risk a potential lawsuit.

No sexual preference is not one of the protected rights under the US constitution.

Yippie, A steak dinner for me. And hopefully a law soon to protect the gay community.
