I've got a ceiling fan with a lighting package that doesn't work. It worked for two years and then when on just turned off. Light and fan are wall switch operated, no remote control. I've checked all wiring connections and they are good. Could it be a switch or a capacitor which there are two. I believe one goes to the fan and another goes to the lights? Does anyone have a similar situation and a resolution.

It is either a switch or wiring, the light is separate from the capacitors. See:
