Hello, I am going to start tiling a basement bathroom floor. My question is whether I need backer board if I am tiling on cement already? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't think of one good reason to use backerboard on concrete. So long as the floor is not painted or coated with anything that would interfere with the adhesive bonding to the concrete, it is not needed and would actually cause a risk of other problems.
