Purchased a 30x24 oil painting titled Great Horned Owl, Autumn Watch from Judith Barnett in 1980. Trying to find out if she is still painting and where. She primarily paints birds of prey. She had connections with the Audubon Society. Have had no luck in locating her.
Thanks

Hi, margiesmemories!
I'm not finding her in searches that I've done. Doesn't mean that it's not "out there" somewhere on the Internet though. Just might be really hard to find.
Did she also do work in any other type of medium?
Thanks!

I am not aware of any other work that she has done outside of her paintings of birds of prey. The one oil that I have was a pet of hers. Beautiful.
Thanks for the response.

Hi, Margaret!
Do you know where she was located when you purchased the painting?
Thanks!

Hi,
I purchased the painting from Zantman Art Galleries in Carmel in 1980. At that time the brochure I have says she was involved with The Wild Life Rescue Center in Berkeley, Calif.
And was currently lecturing. Where I don't know.

In 1974, I purchased a 24 x 30 oil painting signed by Judy Barnett from the Gallery Americana in Carmel, California. It is an impressive image of a Martial Eagle, a large bird of prey native to Africa. The gallery is no longer in business. Thank you for the information you provided on the artist. I would appreciate any additional information you might have acquired. I've had little success finding her on the internet.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find out any more information on Judith Barnett.
Seems she is retired from the public eye.

I too own a large painting by Judith Barnett, purchased in Carmel. It is also an owl. I did find her a few years back, and correspended with her by -e-mail. I no longer haver her address.
She had moved to Oregon? And had changed from and interest to birds of prey to native American images. I have not been able to locate her since!

Judith Barnett is now Judy Falconer and is still painting in Oregon, you can look her up on the internet. I am aware of a painting of 2 great horned owls, very similar to yours, 40x48, done in 1974 which is currently for sale. Please provide contact info if you are interested.
