I'm in the process of moving right now as well as in the middle of a war with some sugar ants in our apartment. I've tried a lot of different solutions but none seem to be 100% effective. I've gone through periods of seemingly no ants to all hell breaking loose. Right now we are moving and obviously don't want to take these guys with us. Other than preventitive measures we'll obviously have to take once in the new place I was wondering if anyone had any possible helpful tips.
One thing I was thinking about was, since we are moving in December and we live in southern ontario it gets pretty cold in the winter. So I was thinking that if we packed everything in the moving van and rather than moving it all in and out in one day. Leaving it in the van overnight to more or less freeze (or as close to it as you can get being in a moving van in the winter). Would this be an effective way to kill them? Any feedback/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did freezing work? My guess would be that since you didn't take the hill with you(or did you?) that you didn't have the same problem at the new place.

You should be fine, the worker ants should die off either way.
