I have a '91 accord that won't start. Cranks fine but has no spark. There is power to the distributor with the key on, and I have replaced the Ignitor and the coil. Does the ECM get involved with ignition during a start? Also could the key in the start position effect power to the distributor? Thanks for any help!

It was smart to replace the ignitor and coil--ensure that the female connectors are clean and tight (crimp with pliers, if necessary). Hopefully, the rotor, distributor cap, and spark plug wires are in good shape. Ensure plug wires are seated in distributor cap.

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Check for codes.

. Perform tests, in Sections A and B, below:

. Ensure timing and timing belt are fine.

Should problem persist, there may be a problem with the distributor; e.g. failed CKP, CYL, or TDC sensor.
