Hi, this is my first post. I had a washer and dryer installed, but was told I needed to remove the "Knock Out" for the drain myself in order to insert the hose. The techs said it would be simple, just use a flathead screwdriver to pry it off.
Well, I tried this, but could not remove the plug. It appears to be a white plastic cap. My concern is that I do not want to damage anything by using too much force, and I noticed what looks like drywall dust all around the "knock out" plug. So my fear is getting that dust stuck in the drain.
Any suggestions? Should I call in a professional?
