I am 28 years old,my children are 9 and 13 - like 3 years ago I got my period for 36 days I saw a doctor and they said it was stress, ever since I was little I got it for like 7-9 days.they said I could take the pill to regulate it but I chose not to ,it went right back to normal.now over the last year it has been going crazy I will get it for 7 days for like 6 months staright then I will get it for 25days not heavy all 25 days it varies.I know I have to see a dr. even though I'm sure they are going to say do you want to take the pill to regulate it?I am a very stressed person.but my big question is that my daughter who is 13 started getting hers jan of this year now it seems like I get it at my time of the month and I get it when she gets hers and I know there is myth if your around some 1 who has it you'll get yours sooner?? Is that true could her menstrual cycle throw mine off??

Usually women who live together will eventually get their periods around the same time, it happens in dorms all the time.

The thing is, your period should just be coming once a month, not at your regular time and then at hers as well. Having a period for 25 days is not normal, nor is it healthy.

Go see your doctor, or better yet, a different doctor, someone who will run tests and find out exactly what's going on. Your body is trying to tell you something.

Good luck.

I am 44 yrs old, and a mother of a 16 and 9 yr old, after the birth of my last child at 35 yr old I got my tubes tied, but know my period a extremely irregular and long when they comes sometimes for 1 mth and a half... I am anemic as well, and the doctor has stated that I have lost a lot of blood... once I bleed for about two months and I was sent to have an ultra sound done and they did fine that I had small fibros... what are the sign of early menopause and is this common for women my age?
