I am installing a new shower valve (new construction) using PEX tubing, the tubing won't support the valve and the valve has no mounting tabs. What is the best way to anchor the valve body?

If I were doing it I would instsll 2 X 4 backing at the shower raiser, one at the top where the drop eared ell,(see image) screwed into and another at the borron of the shower raiser where it will be secured by a 1/2" pipe strap, (see image) By now you should have the valves plastic rough in plate pretty well in place. Now place backing directly behind the valve and strap down both sides using copper pipe strapping, see image). You're now secured in 4 spots and that should hold the valve in place when you trim out and put it in service. Good luck and thank you for rating my answer. Tom
