I have a Chihuahua who is a rescue dog I have had her for 12 yr. She was malnourished and infested with worms. We were told by the vet that she would not get over 2 lb and her stomach will be really sensitive she can not have any shots as she has allegories to all . She has done very well over the past several years up until this week. She had diarrhea and I gave her Imodium and she got over it .she always has had diarrhea off and on. All of a sudden she won't eat or drink and she sleeps all day but she always has stay in her bed. She has, in the past, gone like a day and a half without eating, but not water, I give her water with a syringe to keep her from dehydrateding. She will go out to wet if I take her out. Can any one tell me what I can give her with a syringe to eat until she will eat dry food? I am starting to get worried. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a bunch

You might try a little bit of a powdered protein shake, mixed with water. Since she does have allergies, I would check this out with your vet first though, and then make an appt. at the same time. My other thought is baby food. She's getting up there in age, so you want to make sure it isn't something more serious, so I would make sure you get her to your vet.
Good luck! :)

I'm so glad she's all right, and back to somewhat normal behaviour! :) No, I didn't know about the temp thing. Good to know! Thank you for passing that info on. I will also remember the Ensure tip. Could be very useful! My Niki sends licks and kisses! :D
