Hi, I have a 9month old daughter and I'm worried about her, because the bio-father won't sing over his rights to me, so my question is does anyone know if I can have his parental rights taking from him.. because he pleaed guilty to sexual assault.. and also his own cousin went to the police about the same thing, but it never made it to court thou, I live in Canada and it would be great if someone can help even a little:(

I don't know how the Canadian Laws read, though I'm sure with a little research and maybe a phone call or 2 you could easily find out.
My advice is get court proceedings started if you feel they are necessary. Just because your baby's father has sexual charges against him doesn't necessarily mean he will have his parental rights taken away, though you should be able to get sole custody, and through the courts only get supervised visitation if any at all.
I know in America we have court facilitators that are in the court houses to help you fill out papers properly, and it's a free service. I've used this many times in the past. Maybe you have something similar in Canada... I don't know.
Good luck.

You may not be able to take them away, but you can try, what you do is hire an attorney and make a motion, but it is possible that they can still get supervised visits.
