What was the cost of toothpaste and soap in 1968?

In most public libraries you will find newspaper collections going back in some cases to the middle of the 19th century (1840 onwards).

1968 will have supermarket ads.

Things like gasoline was 30 cents a gallon, and min wage was 1.60 a hour

To my memory, toothepaste was in the 25 cents to 30 cents and often soap, again brand issues, was like 10 bars for a dollar
