Hello: I have a question pertainting to ceiling fans. My ceiling fan mounted box has work itself loose, causing the fan to fall right out of the hole. From what I can tell the screw just came free. I have located the screw, and washser inside of the box, however I am unable to reach it. I can't seem to separate the mounted box from the bracket. The bracket that was mounted onto the box overlaps the screws which prevents me from unscrewing it. If anyone has the answers to my problem... thanks in advance.

Fixitplease - You may have to get up in the atticto get it loose from the bracket. Myself I never did like the braket to hang a ceiling fan from, I always took a 2x6 and mounted the electrical box to it {2x6} at the right place where the hole is cut out in the ceiling the I would lign it up in the hole and level with the bottom edge of the electrical boxflush with the bottom of the ceiling then put { 3 } 16 penny coated nails in each end threw the cileing joust . I would use 2" screws to mount the elect. Box with to the 2x6 - at least 4 or 5 screws. I guess you know by now they have to be really anchored up there good , the fan ,when it is set to blow down ward it is just like there prop on a prop powered aircraft. It pulls the plane threw the air by the props, there is a lot of pull down pressure there , I hope this helps you out and do be safe, have a great day and GOD BLESS ::F.B.E.

So, the box came loose, but you can't get the box loose from the bracket? Do I understand correctly?

Is it a fan-type bracket?
