I could not afford an attorney. So I am my own attorney. Yes I know you have a fool for a client. I am not a real attorney. I filed for bankruptcy on Sept 19 2008 and I have had my trustee meeting on Oct 27 2008 when I got home from the meeting there was a letter from an attorney stating that they were retained to collect this debt. Now I received my 3 credit reports. So I would know whom to list on my bankruptcy. The attorney's client is NCO Financial Systems Inc. Also listed as Creditor is Discover Card. I do owe Discover and they are listed on my bankruptcy. Now neither NCO or this lawyer was listed on my 3 credit reports. So I did not list them as creditors on my bankruptcy I filed. Now here is my question. Do I need to file an admenment to my bankruptcy list to ad both NCO and this attorney? I would hate it if won my bankruptcy case and this attorney or NCO could still collect from me. PLEASE HELP.

Yes, you need to amend your bankruptcy petition to include this new debt, providing that it was not part of the original petition under a different name.
Sometimes creditors sell debts off to other companies that specialize in debt collection. If the debt was discharged under the bankruptcy, you just need to show the attorney that you were discharged from this debt.

I don't really know what form to use to file an amend and add NCO and the attorney NCO hired to collect this debt. This not a new debt this a debt from Discover Card. Now would both be under my filing of Discover Card since Discover is listed on the letter as the creditor. And I did list Discover Card on my original filing. I filed a Shedule F which is my list of creditors I owe. Is there another form or do I just file another Schedule F with just NCO and the attorney NCO hired to collect from me? Or do I need to list everyone again? I don't want to do anything wrong and have my case thrown out.

Please don't start a new thread for follow-up. Use the Answer This Question options. I've merged the two threads for you

bridgeport (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/members/bridgeport.html) disagrees: electrical work was not in my question and what is NEC code book
First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:

Second, what are you talking about? You started a second thread with the question about how to amend. It was clearly a follow-up to your first question so I merged the two threads. Wo said anything about electrical work or NEC codes?
