We have programmed the thermostat and can hear the fan running but no flame appears, this is an electric ignition Amana furnace approx 15 yrs old. There is gas, you can smell it, and the furnace seems to go through the cycles but still no heat. The batteries have been changed in the thermostat and still no heat, any suggestions? It's very cold here tonight!:confused:

Does it have a pilot light ? Or electronic igniter?, is it working? You shouldn`t be smelling gas,, is it a new tstat ? Or has it been there a while? Does it have a inducer motor ?(little motor that is first thing to come on when tstat calls for heat),, so many questions need to be asked and answered. Let us know
