Hi, I live in a 3 bedroom home , w/ a family of 3.. we have an awful sewage smell invading our kitchen and bathroom. We've had the tank pumped twice in four months and nothing seems to help. Somedays the smell isn't noticeable and other days it's unbelievable. We just boughtthis home seven months ago and already I am regretting it. We've tried the bleach and hot water and several other home and commercial remedies w/ no luck. HELP!

When you look under the kitchen sink, do you see "P" trap there ? Also, do you have same traps under each sink in your house ?

Give us a few more details. Are your kitchen and bathroom back to back? Do you have a disposal? Can you nail down a spot where it smells the worst? Is the smell worse in wet weather? Have you looked in the attic to be sure there aren't any open vent pipes? What have you done to reackdown the smell? Back to you, Tom

yes my kitchen and bathroom are back to back.. and the smell does tend to be worse during rainy weather. I haven't checked for vent pipes in the atic, and the smell seems to be worse under the cabinents in both the kitchen and the bathroom.. we've tried the bleach and hot water.. we've used Rid-x.. we've tried mothballs under the cabinents.. and used several drain additives.. but w/ no luck..
thank you for your help!
and I have no disposal either.

If the plumbing for the kitchen and the bathroom are on the same wall would it be possible to open up that wall and check for moisture? If so let me know what you find. Good luck, Tom

My bathroom sits behind the kitchen but the plumbing is on different walls...
