Just wondering what people usually do when they work community service. Not whining, but just want to know what I'm about to be performing next month. Forgive my ignorance, but I'm a newbie with being on THIS side of the law. Kind of spent my entire life on the right side. :(

In my area community service means providing seniors with duties they can't do themselves, like driving them to doctors appointments, grocery shopping, etc.

Thisi depends on your area and its needs. It could be a wide variety of things from cleaning up a park to working with kids or seniors or other things.

Clearning at the police station

Wow, I didn't see 'gotta dui'. Nope you wouldn't be driving seniors, that's for sure. You wouldn't be driving at all if I had a choice, ever !

May I remind Scared Gota DUI that the report feature is not to use if you don't like an answer. But it was saying that their answer was wrong because of the crime.

Oh yes it serves a purpose scared, too many people die from drunken drivers on the road. You are insulted, well, that's too bad. You were driving after drinking, do you feel bad enough yet. You would have felt worse if you had killed someone while driving while drunk.

I have already been at two accidents scraping people off the road after a drunken driver had been through, hit and run. Trying to pull one out of a car and save him after being struck by a, guess what.

My statement, my choice, I live by that statement fella.

It could be a number of things, as others have mentioned. Soup kitchens are favorite this time of year here in the US with the soaring number of homeless people and the holidays coming up. You could also sort trash (my ex had to do that), along with a load of different things.

I have to agree with Tickle though as my cousin was killed by a drunk driver.

Please don't assume that I don't feel disgusted in myself for doing what I did. In reality I'm glad I got caught because I know I will never in a million years do that again. Also, I thank God everyday that nobody was hurt that night so don't label me as some defensive punk teenager please. God bless.

Dear,

We aren't labeling you as a punk teenager, heck, I didn't even know you were a teen. We are just trying to show you that it does happen. You know, a lot of people think "it won't happen to me." Well, it does.

I'm sure you feel bad about this, and rightfully so. I am sure you learned your lesson.

Take care, and be careful.

In my area the people are sent to work at the local animal shelter or the Goodwill Industries plant putting things together.
