Hi..

I just installed a Kohler class five toilet and find that the bowl barely fills with water. I have to hold down the leaver in order to fill the bowl. Observing the flushing system it appears that the plunger in the tank is pulled open by the leaver then falls closed immediately when released. Although if I hold the leaver for a few more seconds, the bowl fills to an appropriate level, thus less paper sticking to the sides of the bowl. Is this normal?. how can I fix this so I don't have to hold down the leaver?

When the tank fills and shuts off how high up does the water level reach on the overflow tube, should be within an inch.

Hi Matrix...

If you check out the picture below you will see a plastic tube that inserts into the top of the canister flush valve at the center of the tank...

Make sure the tube is set into the top of the canister and that should resolve the water volume issue in the bowl.

Let us know if need more info. Here...

Here's a little better view of the tank parts. Good luck, Tom
