How do I reverse an electric motor's rotation? I have a 110V Black & Decker 3450 rpm motor whose clock wise rotation I need to reverse.
I'm rebuilding a (1926) 12" table saw, downsizing it to 10 inch and to do this using the present shaft & pulley set up, I need to change the motor's rotation so I can convert it from its original use as a direct drive table saw motor to a belt & pulley drive.

You really should look for the wiring diagram for the B&D motor you have at their website, or on the motor.

Here is a website that shows diagrams for various motors :

Connections (http://www.usmotors.com/Connections/Connections.htm)

Looks like there are two types of single phase motors with 4 and 6 leads.
