I have a nordyne electric heater model E1EH-020HA that will noy come on. The a/c works fine but when I turn to heat nothing comes on, not the blower or the heat strips. I changed the thermostat but it did not fix my problem. What should I do now? Thanks, gts

There is a wiring diagram on the back side of the blower door.

The description you gave allows many items that could be causing this problem.
Check circuit breakers/fuses to be sure all is OK.
If you are comfortable with electric you can follow the diagram and trouble shoot the electrical components in the unit until you find the defective item.

The only wiring diagram I found is very basic & doesn't show all the wires & doesn't reall match up to my wiring? The circuit breakers in the unit ( 2ea 60 amp) are not tripped but the bottom breaker does not show any voltage between legs? I'm not an electrician but if I knew what to check I can do that. Gts

If there is no vopltage between the legs see if there is any from one leg to ground. It is possible you have a defective breaker OR try to push the breaker lever all the way OFF then turn back on and see what happens.

This is the only one I can find. Not exact model but should be close since they do not change much on electric heat.

Thanks for the diagram! I forgot I had to install a transformer this summer. The only one I could find that weekend only had one common on the 24v side & I ran it to control voltage & forgot to run a common to my sequencers. I really feel stupid! But thanks to your wiring diagram I was able to figure it out. THANKS! Gts
