If CA law says medical marijuana is legal and I have to take a drug screening test to get my pain pills under my pain mahagement contract, will I be denied my pills for using marijuana? Can my doctor really lose his license for prescribing them to me? This seems to be a contradiction.

Do you have a script for marijuana? If you do then there should be no problem. Is the doctor supposed to give you a prescription for pain pills or marijuana?

I have a prescription for marijuana and it is legal here in CA BUT my regular doctor does not prescribe it. I have severe pain and must take a drug test to get my other pain medication. He says if I test positive for THC that the law says he cannot prescribe my pills to me. This does not make sense to me! If it is legal in CA law , how can CA law say I cannot get my pain pills if I test positive for THC

Because FEDERAL law says it is illegal. CA gets federal drug busts all of the time because of it.

That is not fair! I am in REAL severe pain and he knows I am not faking. I do NOT want more drugs but without the pot I cannot take the pain and the depression that comes with it. So I guess I CA law does not matter?

No, State law can't override federal law. Have you looked into products that can flush out your system?

Sorry, I have to go for the night- someone else will probably hop on here and have something to add. Hope I helped. Later!
