So I'm going crazy about this guy who I don't see all the time, but recently I've been seeing him more. And when we do, he'll usually say hi and start the conversation. I've had 4-5 talking encounters with him and most of them happened in the past week. I don't have his phone number yet. But basically, how can I tell if he's just being friendly or is interested? Why would he start randomly talking to me more?

I originally met him at the end of last year when I worked on a drawing in an art studio till 6 am while he worked on a painting (we're both art students in college, but he's a senior, I'm a sophmore). Basically, we started talking then and he played good music and it was just really nice.

And until recently, we both had just ignored each other until he started a conversation with me 2-3 weeks ago. During the whole conversations, he would just stare into my eyes and be kind of smiley. And when I finally went to leave the photo studio, he was working on his project. I said bye and expected him to just wave, but instead he stopped what he was doing to talk to me more.

There's more to the story, but from what I wrote, what do you guys think? PLEASE HELP!!

Next time you talk to him ask if he would like to get lunch when he is free- I can't see what's going on but he does sound interested-
Just ask-what harm would that do?

Also, yesterday, he was in the hallway of the photo classroom and he saw me. Next thing I know he had walked into the room and came up to me and started talking to me from across the table while I was waiting to ask the teacher a question. I thought he had come in to do something but he told me he had to print things for his digital photo class. Basically, after we stopped talking, he left the classroom and I was the reason he came into it... so yea, I don't know. Well that lights up some bulbs, if he comes in just to talk to you and makes up an excuse of having to come in to print some things for a class.
Chances are he is interested in you, or at the very least you have a new friend which you can work up on. :)
