If a person agrees to pay back restitution and is not arrested or taken to a police station or asked to come to court, will it show on a background check? And once you pay the restitution, does it show up still or is it just.. gone?

In my case, I was told to fill out a confession so if I decide not to pay they have some more evidence to use of me in court. So once I pay any idea what happens to the confession? Can it still be found through a background check?

Again, NO Conviction NO record. Its as simple as that. However, that's for a standard background check.

Depending on the company and the position they may do a more in depth check which might find more particulars.

Is there any way to completely get it off a record? That way a person could get a better job?

That depends on what record and who is keeping it.

As I said, it will not show up on any normal background check. But it sounds like you stole money from a previous employer. So if you are applying for a job where you will be handling money, then they might do a more thorough check.
