Your advice is greatly appreciated. I'm building a commercial 4 unit for retail. My A/C man is pushing the Payne product line. I have never used this product line before, can anyone please tell me what they think of this line. Another A/C guy has recommended the Comfort Maker line. I will be purchasing 4 units in total. All will be wired in 3 phase, 4 ton unit, 13 seers, I would guess with R22 and not 410A, and electric 15kw for heating. I would love to just go with Carrier itself but, I'm too far over budget. Thank you to all who reply. I look forward to reading your responses.

Payne is manufactured by Carrier. Pretty much the same thing.

If Payne is made by Carrier, than what's the difference in the quality. Does the Payne unit go through less quality control checks before leaving the factory? Do you know if the air handler is the same as a Carrier unit? Again, thanks for your input,

Payne, Carrier and Bryant are pretty much the same thing. As far as QA goes I couldn't give you a positive YES or NO. The main components are the same. Parts from one will work on the other for the most part.
