Is it really safe to get acrylic nails on while your pregnant?hmm...

I have been a nail tech for over 10 years, and I have wore acrylic nails for ever it seems, even while I was with child, has anything you have to take care of them and watch for changes, but that would be no different if you were not carrying a child. If you are always working in water or you are ruff on your nails you may want to try gel nails they are not as ruff on your own nails and they hold up better in water and if you brake one it doesn't hurt quite as bad. Make sure you have a good nail tech, one that cleans good and changes files for each client.
