Okay so I have this quite embarrassing problem, but I'm feeling brave today so I'll ask about it. :o

Not every night, but frequently, I have the urge to pee, and have to get up and pee several times within an hour or so. Not much pee comes out however, sometimes just a dribble and sometimes none at all. This will go on for 2 hours or more, and I just can't get to sleep. Finally I "discovered" haha that if I had an orgasm the "pain" of feeling like I had to pee would go away temporarily, and I could go to sleep. Often it takes about 4-5 orgasms before it goes away completely.

I've been evaluated by my family doctor and by a specialist (didn't tell them about the orgasm part though :o ), and don't have a bladder infection or what they'd classify as a weak bladder, and no STDs. I had a cystoscopy, a laparoscopy, and urodynamics testing, all of which came back normal. The only suggestion they had for me was that I should "train" my bladder to go less often. But I don't have the problem during the day at all, which strikes me as odd. It's only in the evenings. It's also not following any particular pattern... I've charted it for a while and it's not related to my menstrual cycle, and it doesn't happen every night, either. AND it's also not pregnancy related. I've had it off and on for at least a year before getting pregnant.

Maybe it seems like having 4-5 orgasms a night is really great haha, but it's actually very annoying when I'm overtired and just want to sleep. But it's the only thing that helps at all!

Anyway I'm just wondering if there are any other women out there who know what I'm talking about or have heard about it. It's driving me crazy.

4-5 orgasms a night!! Girl what is your secret!!

Seriously, have you been checked for diabetes? Diabetics tend to have to use the bathroom more at night.

I would drink less earlier in the evening and if you begin to get thirsty suck on a piece of hard candy.

Now, I have had 3 cystoscopies and it was not until the last one that the specialist found that I had what he called an extra muscle in my bladder that did not allow me to empty completely. I did have to "train" myself to push out all excess, my problem though was excessive UTIs.

Try pushing as hard as you can to get out all urine when peeing and no fluids after a certain time at night. I know you don't drink alcohol, or caffine, so I won't go there, but no water or juice either.

It could be a urological disease called Interstitial Cystitis. This causes frequency and urgency that you describe. It also can be very painful. I experienced the same thing. My pain increased with the arrival of my menstrual cycle. The pain was so unbearable that I ended up in the emergency room. It even felt like the pain was derived from my ovaries and uterus. I missed so much school and work because of severe headaches and vomiting. I started going to my family doctor and they were inconclusive. Shortly after I was married, I started feeling even more pain during intercourse. I went to my gynecologist and she performed an ultrasound. The ultrasound was clean. She also had me checked for infections and viruses. That was also negative. I told her about my nocturia (urinating frequently at night). She then referred me to a urogynecologist. He quickly suspected Interstitial Cystitis. Although he was pretty confidant with his diagnosis, he wanted to rule out kidney stones so he sent me for a CT scan. After that was clear he decided to do a Cystoscopy with Hydrodistension. This is the only real true way of diagnosing IC. The initial pictures before the distension look like a normal bladder except for all the extra muscle but after the distension you could really see the IC. He said it was really severe, the worst case he has ever seen. He also said that my bladder capacity is extremely low. I

In most cases a Cystoscopy with Hydrodistension helps most patients with there IC. Oral medication and weekly installments are still needed to treat this condition. It may take up to 6 months for the medication to start working. Also a diet change and bladder training are helpful for IC patients. Diet will also prevent flare ups

Hopefully this information was helpful. As far as your orgasms go, I have no suggestions on that.

Good luck, I hope you find out what is ailing you!
