Hello
I'm going through high school now, and I am starting to think about what I want to do with my life.
To be honest, I absolutely hate school. I hate waking up at 5:00, having to study, do homework, taking notes, and worst of all, taking tests.

So what I have started to think, is college really a good choice for myself? Is it something that I really want to do for another four years? Will it be a waste of time and money?
My grades in High School now are not great. Probably good enough for a less than average school. I have about a 2.5 GPA

So this is why I am writing to you. What should I honesty do with my life?
What ever I do, I do want to make good money. Pref. more than 75K a year.
Would it be hard to make that kind of money without a college degree?
What are some career ideas that you may have - (w/ college & W/out college)?

Thanks A Lot

-Mitch

You can go to trade school, learn to be a welder or a plumber or some skilled trade.

And of course you can then wake up at 4 in the morning to drive to work to work hard all day to get home late and dirty.

You will not believe it but in 20 years you will look back and think right now are the best years of your life. You will wish all you had to do was study and tests,

You won't have to worry about bosses, about getting fired, about getting projects done on time.

And you will learn that doing something you like, will be a lot more important than the money

Well first of all, what matters first is that you want to have a good future! It doesn't matter if it takes a lot of work, test, waking up early or none of that. What matters is that you want to achieve something. All your work would pay off! You should try going to college and try out some of the options they have. Never give up because finding a job with out a college degree won't really pay you good money. So that's why I'm telling you! Work hard, go to college, so your parents can see that you really worked hard for what you really wanted! GOOD LUCK! And keep working hard...
