I am wondering what I must do to reliquish my rights as a father, due to an unreasonable ex (mother to my kids). I am a single parent of two, have a child support order in place for the other children with my ex, but she is moving out of state. My child support is going to be too high to be able to support the two kids I have with me full time due to the percentage of time that I will have with others. Their mother is not willing to work with me at all, and is doing this because I had my child support recently reduced, and she wants more money. I am still going to send money for the kids, but can not afford what she is trying to get me for. I am willing to relinquish my rights so my other two children do not suffer from an unreasonable money hungry person. If anyone can help, I ask that they please respond. Thank you for your time.

Take a look at the multitude of posts on this subject. You will find that you can relinquish your rights, but not your obligation. You will still be required to pay child support you just will have no say so in the affairs of your children.

Sorry dead beat dad, it is not going to happen,
First have you challenged her being able to move out of state, if you have actually been vistiing the kids, you may get the court to rule she can not move.
Next even if the court would let you give up your rights ( and they are not) you still have to pay child support based on state guidelines. So there is a forumla based on your earnings that you will have to pay. You have a first obligation to your first family, after that your new partner may have to work, you may have to work two jobs if that is what it takes.
You are not forced to use your rights, you are forced to pay court ordered child support.
So rights, just don't ever go visit them, obligation, have the payment taken from your check before you see it.
Only and only if she has a new partner who wants to adopt, will your child support stop.
