Hi, I'm sorry that no one has come along yet to address your question. There are a lot of people who have old, treadle sewing machines in their homes that no one is using. You could advertise on one of the many free advertising places on the Internet as needing these to be donated.

Some of the best sites on which to advertise are the following ones.

craigslist: san francisco bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events (http://www.craigslist.org/)

(To use Craigslist, you just find and post on the one that is near you.)

USA - cliQs.com (http://www.cliqs.com/)

Everything from Everywhere (http://www.hoobly.com/)

DomesticSale - The Effective Free Classifieds (http://www.domesticsale.com/)

Free Classifieds Ads - Internet Advertising to Sell Online (http://www.webclassifieds.us/)

Vast.com - Search All The Classifieds On The Web (http://www.vast.com/)

PennySaverUSA Classifieds Online: Local ads in California (http://www.pennysaverusa.com/)

Free Classifieds - FinditClassifieds.com (http://www.finditclassifieds.com/)

Oodle.com Classifieds - Search local online classifieds (http://www.oodle.com/)

BuySellCommunity Classifieds - Buy & Sell Locally : Free Online Classifieds (http://www.buysellcommunity.com/)

Around where you live, there also might be newspapers that have websites where you could advertise this sort of thing for free or even have it printed in the newspaper.

I wish you the best!

Thanks!

Hi
I have 3 Sewing machines. One is a treadle type in it's frame. It is unusual in that it has a shuttle instead of spool. The other two are table top, hand machines.

These have been given to me as I quite enjoy servicing them. (I really like the engineering of the machines. - how sad is that:D). My wife is a seamstres (well Tayloress actually) so has tested them to ensure that they work. I am willing to give them away as long as they will be going to help villages in third world countries.

I live in North West England (Warrington).

If you are still looking for machines then let me know.

Best Regards
Paul

My mother has a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine which she needs to get rid of as she's 91 and her eyesight is not very good. As its very heavy it would need to be collected. It has all accessories and has just been serviced with a new belt and is in good working order. I would be very grateful if someone could collect it and I'm sure some charity would find it useful.
