I am trying to replace my rheem termostat with a hunter 44110. Here is the wiring I have on the old one

green to G
Red to R
orange to B
yellow to Y
blue to W2
brown to X



The new hunter has the following to put wires.


G , RC , RH , Y , W



So I have 6 wires hook up to the old one and 5 places to put wires on the new one. Can someone please help on how to match up these wires.

I believe you have the wrong thermostat.

Looks like you need one for a 2 stage heat pump and the one you have is for a gas/oil/ or single stage electric.

If you are going to get a new thermostat get a good one. Honeywell or White Rodgers

Hunter is not so good in my opinion.
