OK,I lived in Ga I have shared custody of my 14YO daughter with her dad.He has never been a part of her life. But his parents have. I moved to a new state 1 month ago and my daughter asked to stay with her grandparents(His Parents) so I said OK because she wanted to finish out the school year and she has a boyfriend there. Now the grandparents won't let me see her. They even have went to put a restraining order on me.My daughter is OK with this because she is doing whatever she wants to do.Not realizing or caring about the outcome of her controlling grandparents... Please help me out.THANKS:eek:

What custody do they have ? Did you sign over your child for reason of temporary guardianship ?

I don't think they have grounds to at all and I think its up to you to stand your ground she is your daughter I lived with my grandparents for a while to but that is to far they have no right to do it.. explain the situation to your daughter.. don't force her to make any decicions juts let her know the situation and see what happens..

Basically inform them that you will call the police for kidnaping or interfering with custody if the child is not returned, File in court, they can not get a restraining order against you for your daughter unless you are a danger.

If you know where she is, go get her, put her in your car and go home with her.
