We are selling the family home, the close date is October 29, and are having trouble relocating one of the occupants. My 30-year old nephew lives in the house with his mother, my sister. My sister is on fixed income, but we have been able to find her a small apartment to move to since she receives a monthly check. My nephew is normally very capable and independent, but suffered a crisis last fall at his job and his doctor directed him to staff off from work for one year. He is on medication. He has applied for disability and SSI, but was turned down. And, he does not feel up to working quite yet. We could ask our sister's future landlord to allow him to stay until he starts working again, or until he receives his inheritance in late December, but it is a small studio apartment. I live out of town and do not own a home, so he cannot stay with me. None of his friends will take him in, and he cannot rent an apartment without a job or monthly check. The next step is to call all the relatives. Get an advance from the sale of the house, lend him some rent money for November and December/

Any answers?
