I am not sure how to answer the question you sent so I am just starting over
Not sure how to use this web site yet. My question is I have two fans with pull
Chains, I can hand control one for speed, the other I can not. There are switches on the walls that turn on the fans but the switch for the lights do not work on either fan and manuall they do not work either. I tried to manual control the fan spped on the one that
Does not work and nothing happens. I have one remote model # uc7078t and it does not work either of them, it is suppose to be to one of them but it will
Not work, put new battery in. I do not want remotes to these fans as I don't
Even know there model number as I amoved in here and they were here.
What do I do to get them working even if I have to do it manually that is fine.
Please advise. Can it be in the switches on the wall, I don't it but maybe
I just don't understand why I cannot control them manually either. .
Plese advice . Thank you

Ok, if they're supposed to work with remotes (are you sure) but they also have pullchains, then the remote receivers were added and theoretically the fans will work once you remove them. Open the canopies to the fans and remove the receivers and hard-wire the fans.

Can you tell me what wire I am wiring to where and what the receiver looks like
When you say canopy you mean the motor at the top closest to the ceiling.
I have only one remote receive but two fans and neither work right.
Could there be problem with the switches on the wall that turns on the fan
And lights also. The one upstairs I believe is suppose to be the one with the
Remote, the one downstairs no remote that I am aware of.

The link I gave you tells you what wire to put where. The receiver would be a black box with 5 or so wires inside the canopy. The canopy is the cover that goes over where the fan mounts to the ceiling.

Sorry I didn't see any link for repair that you sent to show me the wiring
On the ceiling fans, do I have to do anything with the wall switches if I take
The black box out and is there other wiring need to be done when I take
The black box out of the fan. When these are out I should be able to controls
Lights and fans correct, will the switches then not work once the box is out.
Thank you

Ok I've been assuming your wall switches are just standard on off switch as would control a light fixture, correct?

Ues they do turn on the fans and I believe there is one for the lights on the fan
But nothing happens when you use them.

Have you checked to see if the fans have remote receivers in the canopy? Check, and find out what wires are coming from the fan, and what wires are coming from the ceiling.

You can call Hampton Bay at 800-645-0688 and they will tell you how to fix the fan or send replacement parts. We fixed ours by changing the code of the transmitter and the remote.
