I vaguely remember a movie about a girl who was a competitive horse rider and was riding on the street and part of a passing truck comes out and slashes her leg. After that she could no longer ride. I know it's very random but that is all I can remember. Anyone have any ideas?:)

It could be The Horse Whisperer (1998) with Scarlett Johansson. One night she went horse riding in the snow with her best friend and they get hit by a semi-truck. Her friend dies, her leg is injured, and her horse is traumatized. So her mother takes her and her horse to a man who is a horse whisperer that lives out in the country on a farm.
