I have a problem with a posi-temp 1222 cartridge I recently replaced. The leaking has stopped in the tub, but the single handle lever does not operate properly. It used to shut off at 6:00, and rotate counter clockwise to very hot at 10:00. Now shut off is at 12:00, cold is at 3:00 and very hot is at 9:00. And the pressure is always lowin the tub, but not in the sink or other bathroom. How do I reset the water flow so that off is at 6:00, and improve the water pressure?

Thanks for the reply, afaroo.
Mine is a Moen tub connection, and I have seen the online video about installation of the 1222 cartridge. Now that the new cartridge is in, the dripping has stopped in the tub. But the On/Off connections are out on sync. Off used to be at 6:00, and counterclockwise rotation would turn on the hot water. Now, Off is at 12:00, Cold water is at 3:00, and Hot water is at 10:00. Was this caused by me, or was the wrong Moen cartridge mailed to me? Thanks.

If you have received Cartrdge 1222 it is right one, what you need to do remove the crtridge and turn it 180 degrees any way and install it see what happens, I am sure it will fix your problem, Good Luck.

When I reversed the cartridge this did correct the Hot/Cold water alignment so that cold was on the right and hot was on the left. But the main knob should turn off the water at 6:00, and now water shutoff is at 12:00.
And I did reverse the cartridge.
Instead of having water flow from one counterclockwise motion starting at 6:00, now the water is turned off at 12:00, and turning the knob to 3:00 gives cold water. Moving the knob from 12:00 to 10:00 gives very hot water. It works OK, but doesn't make sense. Thanks for all your help.
