The problem is that your drier is full of lint that clogs the ducts and leaves a deposit like cement in the air ducts (no matter how well you think you kept the filter clean). The drier has to be totally disassembled by removing the front (lay drier on back first), taking out drum (watch how belt was routed), and follow air duct and totally clean out. On some driers you can remove the ducts and wash them out, which is the best way to clean out the hardened deposits. If you don't wash it out deposits will cling to residue and clog again faster than the first time. Check condition of belt because now is the time to replace it since it costs between $5-10. Blow out motor to remove all lint and dust and if it has oil plugs at each end make sure to oil it. Reassemble and you are ready to go. If you run it any longer you will either have a fire or the safety will blow which costs about $45-50. DrTom4444
