We moved into our house last November '05. We've used our GE Profile dishwasher MANY times and LOVE it. Tonight, during the wash cycle, it started flowing bubbles. LOTS OF BUBBLES. And no, I didn't put the wrong kind of detergent in. I used Cascade Dishwashing Liquid & filled the reservoir the same as I always do... any suggestions? Why is this happening? We turned on the disposal and it works fine. I had the washing machine going as well, but I have run them simultaneously before with no problem. How do I get rid of the bubbles? I tried the rinse cycle and the bubbles keep coming.

Do you have any kids.
My nephew thought it would be funny to put dawn in the dishwasher.
He put it in the jet dri place.

Put towels down in front of the dishwasher and keep running it through the cycles until all of the bubble residue is gone.

Go to a pool/spa dealer and get some foam kill that is used for removing foam from spas. It usually only takes a very small amount (6-10 drops) to remove all foam and neutralize the foam-generating chemicals. If the foam continues to return in subsequent cycles, someone may have put the wrong chemicals in the jet dry dispenser. A technician can remove and clear anything in the jet dry tank. Another thing to consider is that jet dry will cause foam in soft water situations, therefore you shouldn't use it if you have soft water. Let me know if you have further questions.
