My husband a few months back got into and argument with this man over an issue that did not pertain to my husband after talking things over my husband came back home and our two children and us were in our front yard washing our cars, when the man came back with another man and started shooting at my husband. Due to this incident our neighbors window was broken due to the bullet holes, we called the police and made a police report, our neighbor ak my husband are you going to help me fix my window? My husband was nervous at the time and confused that he agreed. He has not come to an agreement with the neighbor beacause we do not have the money to pay window which was estimated to about 2 to 3 thousand dollars.
She is now sending us mail demanding us to pay.
What should we do? Is it legally our responsibility to pay this ladies window since it was an act of crime and we were the victims?

A broken window needs to fixed by the owner in this case. But since your husband offered to pay maybe the neighbor can pay for it and your husband can install it. Two or Three thousand dollar is a lot of money for a window, get with your neighbor and call a window shop and get an estimate yourselves since you supposivly broke the window?? :o

It seem like your not telling us the whole story.

Why would someone shoot at your husband?
Did your husband, acually break the window?
Is your husband and your family scared of the neighbors?
What the hell kind of people hang out with you neighbors?

We need more info on your juice situation.
