Good day!
I would like to ask if I can be granted by a settlement visa? I'm actually 19 years old and a dependent of my mother who is currently working and living in United Kingdom. She's already a citizen in UK. I'm a little worried because my age is above 18 which is not a minor anymore.
Is there in any possibilities that the british embassy will approve my application for a settlement visa? I can only think of the bigger chances that they will denied my application.
I hope you can advice me with this. Thanks a lot

Was she a UK citizen when you were born? If so, it is my understanding that you would automatically be a UK citizen, even if born outside of the UK, since you were born after 1983.

If you were still a minor, under 18, when she obtained citizenship, you are derivative beneficiary. Since your age is over now, you must wait until visa number becomes current. This is a tricky part. Go to immigration lawyer, ask for one hour consultation, it does not cost much. The lawyer will give you details on what to do.
